Re: Did you go to a Jewish summer camp? #usa

Surprised that no one else mentioned Camp Yavneh, in New Hampshire.  I went there for a couple of weeks or so one summer in late 1950s on a scholarship from Temple Beth El, New Rochelle, NY, where I was supposedly a "star pupil" in the Hebrew school. As I recall, emphasis was on Hebrew language classes. Although my grandmother was Orthodox and observant, our home wasn't and I disliked having to attend services on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. Loved the Hebrew songs and Israeli dancing and arts and crafts!
