Renee Stern Steinig is correct about them being different locations.  I apologize for my error. I did read in the articles that the Cemetery near Central Islip was used for burials from all three. There is potentially also a cemetery at Pilgrim itself. The Find a grave is simply an inventory of the numbered stones with no names attached.  I find it bizarre that the State of New York would isolate the death certificates of those who died at an institution from the rest of the deaths in the State, but it certainly seems to suggest that.   I think that would be a management nightmare for the State. I wonder if that practice has continued to this day?
