My ancestor Hyman (Chaim) Katz was naturalized in Maryland 1893 claiming to be in USA for at least 5 years. Attached is what was found in his naturalization file.
My question is, wouldn't the court file also contain his vital info (year and town of birth)? The attached record has almost nothing of interest and the archivist writes: "This document was the only reference we found for Hyman Siegel in the naturalization index. So, unfortunately, this would be the only document that exists for his naturalization process. This could be because he was considered a minor at thetime"
