Dear Genners,
Following on from the recent discussion about the people who volunteered and fought in the Spanish Civil War, those with an interest in British veterans may like to know about an article that appeared in the most recent issue of “The Volunteer,” the newsletter of the American non-profit, the Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archives (ALBA). The article is entitled “Remembering the IB in Britain.” The IB, or, the IBMT to give it its full title — the International Brigade Memorial Trust, was set up to keep alive the memory of those British volunteers, who fought in the Spanish Civil War. The IBMT is about 20 years old. If anyone is interested in seeing the article, it can be seen here: https://albavolunteer.org/2022/08/starting-the-ibmt-is-the-best-thing-weve-ever-done-checking-in-with-albas-younger-sister-across-the-pond/ Enjoy!
