Kalonymos appears as a Hebrew name, usually paired with Kalman.  Kalonymos is actually Greek, from Kalo - nice or good as in CALLIgraphy, nice or beautiful writing, and Nymos - name as in pseudoNYM, a false name.  Kalonymos means “good name or reputation.”  The Hebrew equivalent is Shemtov.
