I am as intrigued as you are. My mother was six at the time, so the details
are not that trustworthy. But she definitely remembers that the baby needed
an operation which was not performed in their town, Silagyshomyo, but only by
a professor who was going to operate and replace her throat with a golden one.
She is very specific of the use of gold. It apparently made a huge
impression. Any suggestions where i could find further information on such a
surgical treatment?
