A relative of mine died under sudden circumstances in 1909, and I'm wondering if it would have been reported in a local paper. Probably would not have made the Times but maybe if there were neighborhood newspapers there would be an article. Does anyone have information on publications (Yiddish or otherwise) that served the Lower East Side in those days, and if they're searchable? Thanks.
