According to the latest edition of Nu? What's New? portions of this census are now available on the internet through the Tracingthepast website, where it is stated that this census includes the Germany with in the 1938 borders plus the Sudetenland and also occupied Austria. I checked the list of cities and areas of this census, which are available on the Leo Baeck Institute and the Familyhistory websites and found that indeed there is one microfilm roll for the Sudetenland, but there is none for Austria. My question is this. Was this census actually conducted in Austria or was the Austrian part of the census lost? Henry Wellisch Toronto
