Sunday at 10:00 am pacific time the Orange County California JGS will have our monthly meeting on Zoom. The speaker will be Ken Bravo, the former President of the IAJGS. He will be giving the talk Finding Freida. This will tell his story of finding his mothers first cousin in Brooklyn in 2012. Freida and her daughter and granddaughter emigrated from Moscow in 1993. They had no idea how to find their family who had come over in the early 1900's. This is the story of how he found them. My husband Robert Altman and Ken Bravo are second cousins. My mother-in-law and Ken's mother were first cousins on the maternal Mebel side. THere was a family reunion in East Brunswick, New Jersey in June of 2014.
