How Many New Records did the Ukraine Research Division Upload to JewishGen in  March?

An amazing 151,987 total from 121 files! This beats our commitment to upload 100,000 per month by more than half! This makes our goal of uploading ONE MILLION new records by summer 2023 even closer. Total new records uploaded since September 2022: 658,750 !!

These new records include many from the 1897 census in the Kyiv Archive and cover hundreds of towns. This is a huge collection; many more will be posted in future months. We are so excited to share these with you.

Also new – 1851 census records from the Kherson archive.  We are constantly working to widen the scope that we cover and are pleased to offer records from Kherson for the first time in this project.

To find records for your family, go to JewishGen.org and search for your family surnames. Each new record has a link to the page of the original document where you will find your ancestor's listing. You may find additional information in the original record.

See the attached listing for the archives and towns included in this month’s upload.

We are able to do this work thanks to our volunteers and donations from many generous contributors.  But, we have thousands of additional documents to transcribe.

So that we can continue at this exciting pace, please consider helping us by donating at:

Thank you to all of our generous donors and volunteers!
