Randy Schonberg asks on 29 August whether Rausnitz and Raudnitz are interchangeable. Yad Vashem Holocaust Data Base lists a number of Rausnitzes and Raudnitzes. Thus, the original confusion, if it was such, was maintained over the generations. Perhaps Dr. Alexander Beider can offer an explanation.
