* empty email messages #hungary

Tom Venetianer <tom.vene@...>

Dear Gabor and all,

As far as I can say, the reason for empty messages is that the sender
has sent you a HTML formatted message and your email program is not
configured to accept that format. What arrives is an empty message.

It is *highly* recommended to all members to send *text only*
messages. That is the safest way to warrant that their messages are
readable by everybody.

the best to all
Tom

mod.- Thank you Tom for stating the problem clearyly and succinctly. I
would only like to add that messages sent in either HTML or MIME formats
cannot be processed by all e-mail programs, and therefore according to
Jewishgen guidelines, must be rejected by the moderator. All e-mail
programs have the capability of sending messages in "plain text" format.
One has to use the proper "switch"/button to make the change. Since there
are numerous e-mail programs it is virtually impossible to give universal
instructions on how to do this. Please consult your e-mail program manual
your local computer "guru".LS
