Not to steal any thunder, but an index of Jewish records in the Slovak
archives system I compiled, has been available through Avotaynu since
1993. The inventory the Slovaks published in 1992 was not organized by
town but the district depots where Jews >from the surrounding villages
registered birth, marriage and death. The microfiche is available
through many libraries and genealogical societies.

Compare this inventory with the FHL holdings on their Family Search site
and you'll see what microfilming remains.
