Dear Bob,
the â??imahÃ¥zâ?? is the mirror translation of the house ( hÃ¥z) of worship (ima). Practically it means that the actual community is small, they have built a relatively minor building (or even changed a former apartment) into religious purposes. As you know, the official licences of the different authorities played also a significant role.
By the way,my mother-line part of family is rooted also in jfehÊrtó. Which database do you scroll?

I've been going through Ujfeherto birth registers for the 1860s and the usual place where
circumcisions were performed was "Izahaz," which does not appear in my Hungarian dictionary and
Google translates as "meeting house." Is that correct, or is there another way to interpret
"izahaz"?
