Re: h-sig digest: August 19, 2018 - HIRSCH GABOR #hungary

Adding here my greetings to Mr. Hirsch Gabor, a man who helped me and
many others, whether in person and/or in research.
His effort was always thorough and generous, as I am sure his book is.
Well done, Mr. Hirsch Gabor! And may we enjoy your knowledge many more yea=

I would like to congratulate Gabor Hirsch on publishing his memoir in E=
nglish, for us to read and learn from. The ranks of those who remember pre-=
destruction Jewish communities in Hungary are growing smaller by the year, =
and the number who are also up to date in communicating by email and making=
information available online is even smaller.
I cannot count the number of times he has helped people in this forum by =
his real-life knowledge of how communities ran, and similar matters of cond=
uct and lifestyle among Hungarian Jews back =C3=A2??at home,=C3=A2?? so tha=
nk you and may we enjoy your input on Hungarian Jewish genealogy till 120.
