I am in contact with David Behr , Administrator of the Congregation of Jacob
Synagogue , 351 Commercial Road, London E1 2PS. Tel: 020 7790 3849

He is writing a history of the above synagogue, for its 100th anniversary.

He has invited me , on behalf of the JGSGB, to come down and examine some
old
records and record them where possible. I think his main items are registers
of members' payments , with their names and addresses for 1933 and 1944.

I hope to report on any progress in due course.

In the meantime , if anyone has any information or anecdotes about the
Congregation of Jacob Synagogue/Community , would they kindly get in touch
