After more than thirty years of searching, I may have found a record of
JACOB SOLOMONS Pines Street Aldgate, namely the registration of his death in
the records of
the Great Synagogue on 5th May 1838.
My great grandfather was Abraham Jacob Solomon who emigrated to Adelaide
South Australia following his marriage to JULIA ISAACS bat YEHUDA/LEWIS
ISAACS
on 4th July 1849 at the New Synagogue. They left London on 9th September
1849 on the 'Constant' arriving at Port Adelaide on 26th December 1849. AJS
had a very
colourful life in South Australia including performing one hundred and sixty
circumcisions. He 'dropped' the 's' in Australia.

AJS' Father, my g-g-grandfather was the son of JACOB SOLOMONS AND MARI
(maiden name unknown).
JACOB SOLOMONS' Father was YA'ACOV BEN AVRAHAM YA'ACOV OF 7 Harrow Ally
Hounsditch a member of the New Synagogue who died 2nd January 1874. Their
second child was PHILLIP SOLOMONS b.c. 1828/9.
The registration of the death of JACOB SOLOMONS of Pines Street Aldgate
could be my g-g-g-grandfather. I cannot find an entry in the Civil Records
of 1837, I would like guidance how to go about getting perusal and a copy of
this record.
