Esther Spencer was one of the Jewish convicts transported to
Australia in 1796. She was 19 at the time of her trial at the Old
Bailey in July 1794. >from later records in Australia it seems that
her maiden name was Salamon, or that she was unmarried and Spencer
was an alias with her real surname as Salamon.
Are there any available records which might show a birth of Esther
Salamon in England in about 1775?
