I recently visited a small synagogue in the town of Zuidlaren in the
province of Groningen, The Netherlands. My cousin (a builder) was charged
with its recent conservation. Built in the 1884 it was taken over by German
Military in WWII. 14 members of the local congregation were transported, one
was not. Names include COHEN, VAN DAM, VAN DAM-NATHANS, JOOSTEN,
JOOSTEN-GANS & POLAK.
I took photos of this little Synagogue which I would be delighted to share
with anyone who wishes to contact me.
