I am interested in learning more about my Great Grandfather who lived
at one point at 28 Hanbury Street and had a resturant.
at 25 hanbury London " S. Goldberg Tea Coffee & dining rooms" 1901 the
census says Solomon, wife Annie children and Elias Steinberg and his
wife Sarah.( Great Great Grandparents) . He also was involved with
Yiddish theatre and A Goldfaden, I don't understand the connection. He
was possibly a fund raiser
There was also a Louis baum (20) with sister Mary baum (18) cousins.
The other names I am searching for are Jacob an Betsy lazarus,Betsy
was sister to Annie.
Sarah and ELias were >from Rossiany , he arrived in 1899 I m unable to
locate any other immigration to England
Betsey Lazarus had fried fish shop 10 lemon St and 7 church lane. they
also went by the name Pomensky

Betsey had 3 children, Annie, Mary and Myer. Can't find any
information on Annie, but Mary married in 1918 to a Mostyn Mendelsohn
and divorced him in 1922.
She had a son Sydney M Mendelsohn, he married an Ella Copeland all in
Manchester. Marie remarried a Kendrick and died in 1944 at age 45

All of Solomon and Annie's children immigrated to the United States,
Solomon arriving Dec 1919 .One year after Annie died at the age of 50

His daughter Rose was my Grandmother and lived in Brooklyn NY and died
in Miami Florida.
