Raymond Montanjees

Dear Membership,

1) The next EESIG will be held Sunday week (22nd June) - commencing at
2.30pm in the Council Room, on the 1st floor, at the WLS 33, Seymour Place.

Member Leigh Dworkin has kindly offered to give us a talk entitled
"Finding Booba's Sister - How American genealogical research can break down your
Polish brick walls".

Following Leigh, after a short break, we will hold the ever popular,
always welcome and much appreciated Workshop. Here you will all get a chance to
talk about your ' finds, your needs and wants '. Our team of EE experts will
be on hand to assist. The library will be open - computers will be set up.

2) Shirley sent this e-mail to all about a month ago. If you overlooked it
at the time, or as a reminder now........................ on the 7th July
we will have the pleasure of the company of Tony Abrahams, a member of the
JGSGB, at the East of London group and his talk will be entitled 'Memories
of the East End'. The East End is always a very popular topic so we look
forward to good support.

Tony will give a short illustrated talk with his view of the area and its
inhabitants. You are invited to bring along, show and discuss any photos or
mementos of your own.

The meeting is in our usual venue, Beehive Lane, and will start at 7.45
pm. It is free to members of the JGSGB with a nominal charge of £3.00 for
visitors, who are always made welcome. So do bring along anyone you think will
enjoy this trip down memory lane, which will be followed by tea and chat.

RSVP to shirleycollier@... against both events. We look
forward to seeing you there.

3) PLASHET cemetery visit. Sunday 29th. Meet at 1pm (361 Manor Park High
Street North. London E12)

RSVPs are important as I may be at the back of the cemetery with other
researchers if you can't get there exactly at that time. I'll send you my
mobile number if you wish to come along and have a trek.

e-mail raymusik@...

A big thanks >from the Programme Committee for your support in advance.
