Dear All
Sunday, 16th June >from 2.30 to 5.30 at the JGSGB Library, 14 Charterhouse Buildings, Goswell Road, London EC1M 7BA Those who attended the JGSGB AGM on 19th May will be aware that the meeting asked for a presentation on the 2018 Accounts and it was agreed that this would be arranged. Our Treasurer, Peter Heilbrunn, will make a short presentation at 2.30 before the start of the Social Event. In this connection, attention is drawn to the Trustees Annual Report and Accounts which can be found at http://www.jgsgb.org.uk/jgsgb-constitution-and-bye-laws (Members will need to log in.) Particular attention is drawn to the Financial Review at pages 13 and 14 of the Report which highlights the key points in the accounts. The speaker at the Social Event will be Dr Clare Weissenberg. Her talk is entitled: "Kitchener camp, 1939: The ‘other’ rescue of Jewish refugees to Britain" Dr Weissenberg is a Kitchener camp ‘descendant’ and is the designer and editor of the online Kitchener Camp Project. Her father, Werner Weissenberg, was rescued >from Dachau through the Kitchener camp scheme and was the only one of his close family to get out ahead of the Shoah. Refreshments will be served If you are intending to attend, please could you advise me at martin.hill44@btinternet.com for security and catering purposes. Martin Hill Secretary, JGSGB
