I'm wondering if there are any of you whose family might have spent the war years in Ufa USSR. My parents escaped >from Lublin in 1939 and made their way to Ufa near the Ural Mountains. They lived and worked there as free citizens (albeit under straitened circumstances) until they were repatriated to Poland in 1946.
I'm curious about Jewish life there (if any), how Jewish strangers were received, how they survived, why Ufa etc.
