Small village life for our Jewish ancestors #austria-czech

Alexander Woodle <awoodle@...>

Dear Colleagues,

Caryn Adler asked the same questions many of us have asked about daily life
in the late 18th and 19th centuries for our ancestors in the villages and
towns of Bohemia. I am always looking for articles, books and/or diaries
that may shed light on their day to day life. There are a few glimpses in
"The Jews of Bohemia and Moravia" by Wilma Iggers, but I hope that any
answers to her questions WILL BE shared to the List. Another book that
talks about early Jewish life, albeit in Germany, is Emily Rose's "Portraits
of Our Past."

Sincerely,

Alex Woodle
