19th Annual Conference on Jewish Genalogy, Aug 8-13, 1999 - Bulletin #10 #general

Attendees at the 19th Annual Conference on Jewish Genealogy who are
interested in Poland will be able to attend lectures on Polish-Jewish
genealogical research, Krakow census records, Polish books of residence,
kahal lists of synagogue members, gmina records, and the use of Polish
business, street and telephone directories as genealogical resources.
The Jewish Records Indexing Poland project will be described by Project
Coordinator, Stanley Diamond. For those researchers who have been unable
to find vital records of their families in Poland, Alex Friedlander's
lecture will describe the use of other records off the beaten track.

A copy of the Conference registration application can be copied directly
from the web site (http://members.aol.com/nyc99conf). The Conference will
be held at the Mariott Marquis Hotel, located in the heart of revitalized
Times Square -- accessible to all archives, libraries and resources for
genealogical research. Provide the Conference information when you make
your reservations with the hotel and airlines in order to receive the
special rates for attendees.

See you this summer!
