I am again working on a branch of my family which originated in Valkininkai,
Lithuania.

Originally, Shraga Fivel DAN married Yehudit SEGALOV and had seven children:
Zvi Dov, Rachel (Rasha) GOLDMAN, Harry DUNN, Yehoshua, Hillel Zalman, Simcha
Shmuel, and Jacob DUNN.

These are the things I would like to find:

(1) Zvi Dov's first family may have died in the Shoah. His second wife,
Yehudit, had two children, Ella and Shraga. Ella married a man named OVERBACH
and had a son, Assaf. Shraga married Graziela WEISELBERGER and had two
children, Yogli and Zvi. I think they lived in Gedera but when I attempted
to write them the letter was returned.

(2) Rachel's family died in the Shoah except for the youngest daughter, Dena,
who married Yehoshua EICHORN, and had two children, Yehudit and Asaf. Asaf
is better known as Asaf AGMON. Yehudit married Yitzhak FLUMIN and had two
children.

(3) Yehoshua married a woman named Malka and had one child. Supposedly he
moved to Moscow years ago.

(4) Hillel Zalman married Haya Rachel ELLIS and had two children, Ila and Tova.
Ila had been keeping in touch with our family genealogist years ago. She
lived in Tel Aviv, but I have not been able to get in touch with her. Ila
married Sfania COHEN and had one son, Ron, then later married Ted CASPI. Tova
married Gidon ZIV (formerly FEINITZ) and had two children, Dani and Amalia.

(5) Simcha Shmuel married Chana Rachel ZIMMERMAN and had two children, Ziva
and Ora. Ziva married Avraham WEINFELD and had three children. Ora married
David BAREKET (formerly BORNSTEIN) and had three children, then later married
Gidon MA'OR.

If anyone can give me more infomration, I would appreciate it.

I would like to find information on the family of Borach LURJE and Rachel
(Roskie) HERSHOVITZ. They lived in Raseiniai, Lithuania, and died in the
Shoah along with most of their family.

Borach was married previously and had two sons, Fivel Labe (Pielwa) and
Michael. He had six children with Rachel: Chana DISKANT, Yehoshua
(Heishel), Moshe (Meishel), Sarah YUDELEVSKI, Rivka DAGAN (later LASSAR),
and Gutel (Grisha). All but Sarah, Rivka, and Grisha died in the Shoah,
most of them in 1941 in Raseiniai. Heishel supposedly died "at the front"
in 1943.

The main things I would like to find out are:

They were married in Harbin, China. They had two children who survived the war.

Yam in pre-state Palestine. Shifra had attended our first family reunion.

A third cousin I was corresponding with has made a very interesting suggestion
as to why my great-grandfather (her great-great-grandfather) and his brothers
changed their last names >from Krasinsky in 1890 when they left Nova Ushitza for
Manchester. She said she knew of one of her other relatives who did the same
thing because he was seeking employment or perhaps had been sponsored for
employment >from a German-Jewish factory employer in Manchester, and the relative
understood that a "German-Jewish" sounding last name would work better than a
Russian sounding one in terms of obtaining employment by German Jewish factory
owners.

I had wondered how and why three brothers could emigrate legally >from the
Russian Empire under totally assumed names if they needed visas and passports.
I didn't find this particular novelty among any of my other ancestors, so the
suggestion about employment seems to make eminent sense.

Lower East Side near the Bialystoker Synagogue. They were congregants there
for many decades. The Synagogue located on at 7-11 Bialystoker Place
[formerly Willett Street] is still active to this day.

Dear All,
Whilst searching for information on the JULIUSBURGER family, last
known residence, Holzmarkt Strasse 65, Berlin, I came across what
appears to be a photo of them on "The List of Deportation >from Berlin"
database section of the YAD VASHEM website,(search request;
JULIUSBURGER Hedwig: photo name; p39855). I asked the correspondant
there for more information and she told me that the photo had been
posted in 2006 by a man called Michael ABRAHAM. The correspondant
indicated to me that Mr ABRAHAM is, or perhaps was, the nephew of
Hedwig JULIUSBURGER, who was born Hedwig ABRAHAM, in Allenstein,
Eastern Prussia (now Olstyn, Poland) on 3 Steptember 1897. Hedwig's
husband, Alfred JULIUSBURGER, born in Breslau, (Now Wroclaw, Poland)
on 13 November 1892 was the son of Isidor and Martha JULIUSBURGER.
This means that I have a link to these people via other, living,
members of my family.
I have no other information on Michael ABRAHAM, unfortunately. As
ever, I would be extremely grateful for help in getting into contact
with Mr ABRAHAM, or his descendants.

Whilst searching for information on the JULIUSBURGER family, last

This means that I have a link to these people via other, living,
members of my family.
I have no other information on Michael ABRAHAM, unfortunately. As
