the Levitic FRAENKEL line and the MIRELS-TEOMIM-HELLER-FRAENKEL
line. Although the 1925 edition of the Funk and Wagnall's Jewish
Encyclopedia states that the ancestor of Rabbi Jeremiah Seckel
(Isaac) Halevi of Baiersdorf was Moses Halevi HELLER, there is no
evidence that he or anyone else was a common FRAENKEL ancestor for
both lines.

Re: Romanian archives... #romania

Rosanne Leeson <rdleeson@...>

In response to the question today of Joe Heller, regarding the
availability of records at the Archives I can only repeat the report
that was sent to this list a month ago.

The Head Archivist has forbidden any access for professional
researchers to any of the archives, particularly in the region of
Moldavia, in eastern Romania. So there is nothing to be learned at present.

We are trying to work on this matter through international sources, and
will report back to one and all when conditions have changed!

married Sybille Hurwitz (b 29/04/1948 in Johannesburg) and had two children
Shaun (b 15/08/1979) and Brett (b 25/04/1981).

Unfortunately I do not have any other info on Anthony eg parents or

However, maybe they are connected to you too?

Reminder about vacation settings! #france

Rosanne Leeson <rdleeson@...>

Dear fellow FrenchSIGgers,

We are getting to vacation time once again, and so your Co-Coordinators
wish to remind you that you must set your SIG subscriptions to NOMAIL,
before you activate you out-of-office, or out of town responders. To do
this you should go to: www.jewishgen.org/listserv/sigs.html
Click on Modify options, and choose the FrenchSIG. When you return you
should do this in reverse, and reset your mail options to your usual
choice. Remember there is no Secretarial Staff at JewishGen . You
must do this for yourself!

If you do not, then every message that is sent out to the list is
returned to the sender! Please be courteous. We all have to deal with
so much spam that this is an extra burden that you put on our other
members.

Thank you,

Plain Text information from AOL version 9 user requested #germany

GerSig@...

JewishGen plans to update the "Support" page on how to set
your email to plain text.

They've asked me if I have any knowledge of AOL v. 9 with
regard to being able to use it to create plain text email.

I seem to remember hearing that like versions 6, 7 and 8,
the current AOL software "improvement" provides no toggle
for switching to plain text.

If any member can provide information on how to set AOL 9
to write plain text email please reply privately to me at:
gersig@aol.com
I will pass the information on to JewishGen. Many thanks.
