ViewMate 4642 and VM 4643: translation from Russian re: deaths of twins/soldiers #general

Steven Garber <shgarber@...>

Dear Jenners,

Please respond privately, and not to this list!
These twins were not my relatives. They were uncles of a friend of mine.
We're interested in learning the fate of three KARASIK sisters, too. Our
best guess is that they died at Pochep or Dnepropetrovsk. We don't know
their married names.

Thank you!

Steve Garber, of Denver

Re: "Rosen's" Restaurant, Brooklyn, NY & "Junior's" in Westwood, Los Angeles #general

petiealznauer@earthlink.net <petiealznauer@...>

Yes, there *is* a Junior's on the Westside of Los Angeles almost a mile
south of Westwood Village on Westwood Boulevard by Pico Boulevard. I
think it was around the corner on Pico when I was growing up in the '60's.
No, I do not believe it has any connection with the New York "Junior's".

If you visit Los Angeles I highly recommend "Junior's" blintzes, chicken
matzo ball soup and latkes. After you have finished noshing you can burn
off the calories by walking to the LDS Mormon Library nearby on Santa
Monica Boulevard a few blocks east of Westwood Boulevard to do some
genealogy research. The staff there is very helpful.

I grew up (and my mother still lives) two streets >from "Juniors". My new
cousins on my ZILBERMAN line, the GOODMANs (who I found last year through
my genealogy research)live two streets in the other direction from
"Junior's".

We've been dining at the same Jewish delicatessen for decades and didn't
even know it!

I have no connection with the family that owns Juniors or with the
restaurant in any way.

Jews in and around Trier #germany

Stefan.Roos@...

During my research of the history of several jewish communities in the
Moselle/Eifel region I managed to build up a database of jewish citizens
of Trier and its suburbs. The database includes information on more than
5,000 individuals.

If you are searching for your ancestors in or around Trier please let me
know. I will gladly share the results of my research with you and answer
your question/query to the best of my knowledge.

PS.: Does someone know the e-mail address of Mr Rodney Eisfelder of Australia?
