Birth records #poland

MERYL RIZZOTTI

I believe I have found all the birth records for my Krzewin family in
Tycocin. EXCEPT for my great grandmother Brajna and her brother Abram
Idzko although I found his death record in 1866.

Is it possible that her birth wasn't registered as she seems to be the
only girl? Also, someone suggested that her birth record might be in
the Synagogue records. Are there any Synagogue records for Tykocin
and, if so, have they been filmed? I do have her marriage record but
there is no indication of the Synagogue.

Thanks in advance,
Meryl Rizzotti

Bobrka records (was: Searching location: Strzelisk, Tuczne, etc.) #general

Alexander Sharon

Following my posting on Strzeliska Nowe, district Bobrka, I've received
private email regarding existence and location of the Bobrka records.
My corresponded was also surprised to learn that there are survived Bobrka
records at all, since there is no data in JRI-P database.

Bobrka records in Warsaw Archives are indicated as follows:

1866-1876 Marriages and 1863-1915 Births Records are located in AGAD
Archives, zespol (filing system) 300, unlimited access
1916-1940 Births and 1904 1904-1940 Deaths Records are located in Warsaw
Srodmiescie Registry (USC), zespol 505, limited access

I understand that IRI-P Eastern Galicia Project was terminated by Polish
side, and following fully founded towns records were not indexed on time:

Reference:

I am not directing this at any one person in particular, but >from time
to time I believe that we all have to be reminded that not everyone who
reads Jewishgen is fluent in English or familiar with United States geography.

The moderators remind us >from time to time to *please* sign our postings
with our full name and place where we live.

How many of us that live in the US know every abbreviation for every state?
I think even the best of us gets confused with MA, MD, ME, MI, MO and MS.

And really, really, not everyone in the world knows that NY is "New
York" (yes, I know all you New Yorkers out there don't believe this but
it is true......)

Are you signing with just your hometown? I live in Baltimore, Maryland
USA, but there is one in the state of Ohio and I know there is one in England
also.

*Please* write out the name of your city, spell out your state if there is
one and add the country you live in.

If you are referring to a SIG, please spell it out. Not everyone can figure
out what H-SIG or U-SIG might be. Some of our readers really struggle with
English.

We want to connect with all possible relatives, so why are we limiting
ourselves to those who only speak the default language on Jewishgen?
