problems with badatelna.eu/fond/1073? #austria-czech

rfc974@...

Hi folks:

For the past week, the vital records in fond 1073 have been vanishing.
You click on a town name and the icon flips >from + to - but displays
no record books. I found it started with Kladno, but it now affects
Velvary and portions of Prague. I've tried reseting my browser and
I've written staff at the Czech Archives and nothing works. Anyone
know what is wrong (either at my end or at the server?).

Thanks!

Craig

HTML / Webpage design volunteers needed for the KehilaLinks Project #austria-czech

Susana Leistner Bloch

Dear Friends,

Although we have a wonderful team of dedicated and overworked
volunteers, there are not enough of them and prospective webpage
owners have to wait for months to get technical help.

Our webpages are "Virtual Yizkor Books". Just as former residents
took it upon themselves to record all they could remember and publish
a Yizkor Book in memory of their Jewish community , so we, the next
generation, should make sure that whatever we have, every little bit
of information that sheds light on the lives of our Jewish
communities is recorded and preserved. The people who published
Yizkor Books usually were in contact with others living in the same
town or country. Contact with their landsmen in other countries was
difficult. To us, in the 21st century, there are no limitations.
Cyberspace has opened up the world to us.

If you have the necessary skills we urge you to volunteer and help
someone create a webpage dedicated to a Kehila / Shtetl / Gemeinde /
Town / Immigrant Neighbourhood, and in this way honour and memorialize
the Jewish community that once lived there and also provide a valuable
resource for their descendants.

Please contact us : <bloch@mts.net>

nigel wilson <wilsonettess@...>

Dear friends,

I shall shortly be making several postings regarding an ASCHER family from
Berlin, but first off if someone could help with this:- I have searched
in Berlin directories 1930s - early 40s without success to find out who
lived at 20 Rudersdorfer St. 017 Berlin - I am hoping it will be
Moritz ASCHER - if not, who lived there?

Thank you in anticipation. - more to follow within the next few weeks.

Gubernskie Vedomosti #ukraine

philafrum

In yesterday's (January 7) Bessarabia SIG digest, Yefim Kogan, SIG coordinator, wrote that draft lists were published in official government newspapers called "Gubernskie Vedomosti". Does anyone know if these newspapers for Volhynia are available online or elsewhere?

Thanks.

Thanks.
