unusual names Girm and Girsh #belarus

If you saw both Girm and Girsh with the same surname, this is the given name Girsh, one of the most common given names. It is very easy to mistake the Russian script m, sh, and t if they are written carelessly.

Hi,

I was quite excited to recently find the marriage ledger entry for a
previously unknown ancestor in the Beroun area near Prague. I have not
been able to completely translate the documents and turn to you for help.

Please have a look at the following documents on viewmate

VM10118, VM10119, AND VM10120.

These are the descriptions/info about the bride and groom and
#10120 are some additional notes about the marriage on the following page.

Any help you could render me would be most appreciated.

Hello genners,
Months ago I found some entries added by Jeanine SOCHACZEWSKI
on Yad Vashem's database, and I got intrigued since some of the names
coincide with the information I have for my SOCHACZEWSKI branch.
Unfortunately, I tried to locate her on the address provided by the
time she submitted the testimonials - 1986, if I'm not wrong - but it
looks like she does not live in 20 rue Sorbier, 75020 Paris anymore. I
tried also the white pages but it seems nobody ever picks up the phone
(I had a friend who speaks french trying to call for me). Did any you
ever heard of any SOCHACZEWSKI family in France, being able to
put me in contact with him/her for further investigation ?

At the last conference there was a Russian Army veteran present with an exhibit of
Soviet army casualties. I asked him about General CHENRYAKHOVSKY who I understood
to have been the highest ranking Jewish officer killed in the war.
He did not think the general was Jewish. I don't remember his reasoning, but it
was based on his innate knowledge of the Soviet military.
He was a colonel-general, equal to our 4-star rank and may have been the
highest ranking Soviet officer killed in action. He was killed in East Prussia
in early 1945.

document. Their English names were Harry M. Levin and Sophie
Davis. I would also like to get the Hebrew names of their parents if
those are on the Ketuba.

I do have several large sizes of the document if someone believes
that they could provide a better answer with larger image.
