Moise Joseph Maurice TCHERNIAKOWSKY and his family

Ladies and gentlemen

I research :

The date of death rabbi of the community Enghien-les-Bains Moise Joseph Mau-
rice TCHERNIAKOWSKY. It was located at 47 rue Malville in Enghien-les-Bains
(France). He was born in Brest Litowsk on October 30, 1879. I would also
like to find a photo of this rabbi who was the first president of the Amicale
of Brest Litowsk in Paris.

his wife's last name, first name, date of birth and death.

The couple had a son whose name is Lucien TCHERNIAKOWSKY who was a composer=
of music and songs. I am also looking for his date of birth and death.

Do you have any suggestions on how to find out what happened to my
great-uncle Eliezer/Lazar GENN, originally >from Shpikov,Ukraine,later
living in Kishinev/Chisinau, Romania? I understand there were mass
deportations in 1940-41. Lazar would have been approx.75 years old
in 1941. Are there records to check names >from camps or pits near
Kishinev/Chisinau?

Over 1.3 million documents and books are already available for search

between the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, the Lithuanian Central
State Archives LCVA, the Martynas Mazvydas National Library of

Harry Benjamin #unitedkingdom

Sue Levy

I am seeking anything at all to do with Harry Benjamin MBNA (born 1987), a
London physician and strong advocate for nature cure and wellness through
diet and lifestyle at a time when such a thing was viewed with scepticism.
He authored numerous books, including 'Better Sight Without Glasses'.

Harry Benjamin was a cousin of my mother-in-law Miriam Levy nee Benjamin,
though they never met: Harry lived in England, Miriam was a New Zealander.

Their ancestry goes to back to the town of Sompolna in Poland, whence the
surname Benjamin was originally Sompolinski. Harry's grandfather was
Benjamin Sompolinski. Benjamin's children included Miriam's father Jacob
Benjamin, and Harry's parents Simon Benjamin and Betsy Newman.

Harry's siblings were Edward (Tobias) b 1898 and Beatrice b 1906.

Any anecdotes, family connections or information would be much appreciated.

Looking for 2nd GGrandfather, Surname BARNETT #general

Dear Geners,
According to census records my 1st great grandmother Miriam Barnett was born in
Poland, with a possibility of the city being Warsaw. She married my 1st great
grandfather Israel (Joseph) Cohen around 1866, I do not know where but they settled
in Liverpool and attended the 'Old Hebrew Congregation'. Miriam died in May 1915.
Her headstone shows her fathers name to be Moshe Mordechai BARNETT. Does this ring
a little bell with anyone. ?
A great big thank you in anticipation,
gratefully yours,
Yvonne Tamtom
