BMD records for La Paz, Bolivia #general

Dear Genners,

My sons are trying to obtain a copy of their father's birth certificate. He was
born in La Paz, Bolivia in 1947.His birth certificate lacks his parents' home
address at the time of his birth and, although the birth certificate appears in the
database at the Bolivian Consulate in NYC, the computer won't generate a copy
because it's missing the address.

Would welcome any and all suggestions as to what sort of records should be searched
in La Paz by a family friend, that would list the family's home address at the time
of his birth. TIA for any assistance.

Looking for Bereznitski family from Ruzhany #general

Dror Bereznitsky

Hello,

My father's family immigrated >from Ruzhany to Israel (Palestine at that time)
during the 1930's. I'm trying to research the roots of the family in Belarus, but
unfortunately there is no one left >from the family with such information.
Searching the Belarus database results with only 3 people named BEREZNITSKII as
part of the 1858 revision list, however I cannot fully trace them to my family
although I think they are related. There is also some information in the Memorial
Book to the Jewish Community of Ruzhany.

The following people >from my family have immigrated >from Ruzhany to Israel:
Luba Bereznitsky, wife of David and daughter of Zelik- born 1857
Her son, Moshe Alter - born 1887
His wife, Hadasa daughter of Zerach - born 1891 (known to have a
brother who immigrated to the US)
Their children - Chaim Zelik (my gradfather), Arye Leib, David and Chana

The family name spelling varies between Bereznicki in some documents
to Bereznitski in the Jewishgen database.

Any advice or information are highly appreciated!

Thanks,
Dror Bereznitsky

Shalom to the Discussion Group

Once again I would like your help with learning about a record found on JRI-Poland.
I've posted it on ViewMate, where it is no: 69831.
The direct link is:
http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=VM69831
The record is AKT 21 of Piaski marriages, between Judka BRONSZTEJN and
Dwojra GUBERMAN (I'm hoping that Huberman is a variant for Guberman (or v.v.).

I'm very keen to learn the identities of the happy couple. Please
reply via the ViewMate

Thanks for any help or guidance you can give

Only some 221 names >from 9 towns have been found, but I hope they will
be of help for someone. They will be published together with Saros.
For full list of towns please see the tracking page at

Lwow Ghetto records and Karpathen Oel slave laborers #galicia

David Scriven

I have come across a few records where people appear both in the 'Lwow
Ghetto' database and in the 'Forced Laborers in Boryslaw and Drohobycz'
database. The Lwow Ghetto records are all sparse, just including the
person's name, previous home address and nothing else.

Did these slave laborers ever live in the Lwow Ghetto? >from what I have
read the 'Karpathen Oel' slave laborers were recruited locally and kept in
camps near the sites of the refineries - many were executed in the woods
surrounding the area and others were sent to Belzec. I'm also aware that
Karpathen Oel had administrative offices in Lwow, and that the Lwow
Ghetto records were compiled >from many sources in the area.

So - is it possible that those listed on both databases never actually went
to the Lwow Ghetto?
