Blocking domain names-think twice! #general

steven weiss <szome@...>

Every once in a while my reply to a query bounces due to the receiver having
blocked any email coming >from my email domain name.

No one enjoys receiving junk mail. Nevertheless I think it unwise to block
email >from an entire domain name. The free Internet email sites are very
popular (for a variety of reasons) and by enlarge are used responsibly. You
never know who may be trying to contact you, so I advise unblocking entire
domain names and instead blocking specific email addresses.

Twin girls in a photo. #general

Nathan Radin <natradin@...>

I have a photograph of myself and twin girls named Anna and Ida (so my
memory tells me). The photogrph is darkened and it has no date on it. The
apparent arm clothing worn by us indicates that the photograph was taken
during the winter. The location where the photograph was taken is Coney
Island and the years may be 1923-1925. In my trying to leave a record of
my family roots and my lifetime activities, I have located people in my
past who have given me much information of interest. The question is:
Does anyone know of twins named Anna and Ida and who lived in Coney Island
during the years indicated above?

Pistyn, Ukr. and surname NIEREL/NIRL/NERIL, etc. #general

PNSimonSez@...

My pat.GF wasa born in Pistyn (Ivano-Frankivsk oblast) in 1865. I have his
"work papers" noting his apprenticeship as a tailor's assistant in 1889. I
have been told that there was no other family in the world w/ this surname.
I went to the archives in I-F and there were records only for Greek Orthodox
persons. I went to Pistyn and there was barely an office there for anything
archival/metrical. Help....any suggestions? I did wrote to Alex. Bieder but
he could not give me any info. (I contacted him a few years ago..hopefully he
will work on names >from Bukovina/Galicia area).
Thanking you in advance...Phyllis Nierel Simon........pnsimonsez@aol.com

Spelling Surname NAGURNI #general

BEERBRAINS@...

I have found the name NAGURNI in birth records dating >from 1784 through the
1850's, in the town of Cieplice, Galicia, Austria Hungary. The only other
spelling of the name found in these records is NAGORNI. Do these specific
spellings indicate belonging to any particular ethnic group? Is the
spelling indicative of anything ?
