Dear group, I apologize for sending this to all of you, but when I sent
it directly to Selwyn, it bounced.

Dear Selwyn,.
I have a Karpiloff family as relatives. No known descendant named
Sylvia. However, I have been led to a Kopaloff family in London, and I
suspect the Kopaloffs of London are related to the Karpiloffs in my
family, and that the difference in surname is due to the difference
between the English and American dialects.

Nathan Kopaloff did have a daughter named Sylvia, and I estimate she was
born before 1903.

The family was >from the southern Ukraine area - Mariupol, etc.

If any of this could link to your Sylvia Karpaloff, let me know, perhaps
we have a link to explore.

Thank you for this before I even click over to your site: I just received
the index, found Morris Maltinsky on it, and, very happilty plunged into
Ancestry.com only to be faced with prospect of squinting my way through many
sheets and taking up knitting while waiting for said sheets to download. I
will testdrive your product this very evening!
