Stefi ROTH- Bratislava Deportation Records? #general

MiriFM@...

I have been searching for the fate of my Great-Aunt Stefania
TAUSSIGOVA ROTH, born in Prague January 7, 1894.
(One document states January 6, but the Prague Archive
document states Jan. 7). She was the daughter of Moses/Moritz/Taussig
and Theresa (Terezie),born Neustadlova.

Stefi married Arnold ROTH, born in Bystricany,
Slovakia (June 6, 1884-194?).

I received >from the Jewish Community of Bratislava Stefi's
address in 1940: Zidovska 200, Bratislava. This may have been
her last place of residence before deportation.
She worked as a housekeeper and taking care of children
to survive. Arnold was a salesman.

I would like to learn the date of deportation, assembling place,
and name of the concentration camp where Stefi and Arnold perished.

Stefi is not listed in the Terezin Memorial Book.
Yad Vashem has an incomplete Page of Testimony that I
would like to update.

I found the following address on the Internet
(without zipcode), mailed a letter of inquiry on May 3, 2002,
and never received a reply. I had someone phone,
but there was no answer.

Zidovska nabozenska obec Bratislava
Holocaust Documentation Center
Palisady 18
8000 Bratislava
Slovak Republic

I have also not received a reply >from Jewish Museum in Prague.

I would appreciate any suggestions where to search further.

Thanks!

Re: Birth records in Texas & Missouri #general

Jean Rosenbaum <mervinr@...>

I used Google with the entry Texas Birth Records and
learned that records are not available before 1903.

This will not help with your current search, but if
you should ever want Jewish vital data >from Texas
covering the years 1908-1921, I suggest the
following. Go to www.jewishgen.org Under Databases,
click on America. The last database is Houston Jewish
Herald Voice Database. During the years cited, this Houston
weekly reported life-cycle events >from across the state
of Texas. (The years 1922-1931 will soon be added to
the database, with additional years added as a small,
dedicated group of volunteers continues to work on
the project.)

Daniel Kazez <dkazez@...>

I found the death record of my gggg grandmother, Mindla Jochymowiczowa.
She died in 1829, at the age of 94, in the little town of
Malusy Male. Her death was recorded in Mstow (near Czestochowa):

She was survived by her son Abram MALUSKI (MALESKI?), age 60,
also living in Malusy Male--and by her son-in-law
(my ggg grandfather), Lewek Moszkowicz Engielander-Angielczyk.

I would be pleased to hear >from anyone interested in

I am searching for any info relating to family Toback/Tabach and
Chanis/Chanes/Hanis. I understand that their village, Tomashpol, is now a
suberb of Odessa.
The Tabach/Toback family owned a sugar beet refinery and the Chanis clan ran
a teamster service (horses, wagons, etc.)
They arrived in New York >from between 1917 and 1921. As a child I recall
they attended a group >from time to time called the Tomashpoler Society.
Any info about them or the town it's size, character, etc. would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Norman
