Viewmate Polish Translation needed please #general

Maxine Bromyard <maxine@...>

Thanks to kind Genners who have helped me out, I no longer need Russian
translations for Viewmate postings VM5311, VM5313 and VM5314. However, I
wrongly identified VM5310 as Russian - it is thought to be Polish. I would
be very grateful for a translation. The image is at:

Please respond to me privately.

Descendents of Jennie BROWN of Lawrence,Mass #general

Craig Sugerman <rndp51@...>

I am looking for family that descends >from Jennie Brown who emigrated to
Lawrence,Mass >from Bessarabia about 1885.She had three daughters ,two
of whom were Ruthie, and Brina, I believe. She had these children with a
Barney Steiner,I think, by 1900.In any case she was later married to a
man with the last name Freedman and she settled in New York by 1913.
She was a famous seamstress to the stars in NYC and is supposedly buried
in Florida? Any knowledge of any living descendents would be appreciated.
Thank You, Craig Sugerman Newton,Mass

My grandfather was Sam (Shmuel) TANZER, though most the records I find on
the family show it as TENZER.

He grew up in Tyczyn, which is near Rzezow.

The family was chassidic, but I'm not sure which sect.

My grandfather's aunt married an important rabbi >from the area known as
Shlomo Leibele.

Also researching WALLACH & RATZ.

Perhaps there's a connection here.

Searching TENZER, TANZER, WALLACH, RATZ from Tyczyn #general

Levy, Richard <Richard.Levy@...>

My grandfather grew up in Tyczyn - TANZER/WALLACH

His father owned an Inn/Tavern. They were chassidic, though I'm not certain
which sect.

My grandfather told us that his aunt (I think on the WALLACH side) married
a big Rabbi known as Shlomo Leibele.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Music of Terezin & Site Cite #austria-czech

Judith Berlowitz <jberlowitz@...>

Celia Male's inspiring notice of Jacqueline Cole's upcoming concert led me to
note that May, 2005, will mark the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Terezin.
While I am not aware of a specific festival honoring the more than 15 interned
composers who managed to produce over seventy significant new works of music
between 1941 and '45, I invite austriaczech genners to become aware of some of
the worldwide efforts to perform this music and to support organizations that
promote it:

Terezin Chamber Music Foundation,

The Viktor Ullmann Foundation (est. by Jacqueline Cole)

There are also recordings available of the better-known Terezin composers
(Ullmann [Teschen], Krasa [Praha], Klein [Prerov], Haas [Brno]...)

Question - Florida Death Certs #general

Mimi Katz <GeveretKatz@...>

I would like to request my aunt's death certificate >from Florida, 1948,
that includes the cause of death. I am a little unclear on how I
have to prove to a family relationship and my need for wanting this.
Genealogy research doesn't sound like a good enough reason!

Any suggestions that have worked for you???
