one of the drawbacks of the "hungarian jewish survivors listed in a
hungarian periodical" list seems to be that married women are listed in
the customary hungarian fashion as "wife of" and their husband's name,
but the transcription includes neither their given nor maiden names.

once again, it helps to experiment a bit with the search function: there
are 116 hits for exactly ROSENBERG, but none of them have a given name of
ilona. however, there are only 4 records for PINTER, including one for
"PINTE'R, Dr. Be'lane', born 1898, place of birth not specified, located
Tröbitz, page 17", which might be the one, if you know her husband's name.

I have recently posted a family photo of Salomon Wolf WILDER and Sime Bruche
WILDER (Helfer) at http://data.jewishgen.org/viewmate in the To View section
- as file - VM11405. This family originated in Brody, Poland, and were
married in a civil ceremony in 1914 in Vienna, Austria. It would appear
that this picture was taken in Vienna in the early 1930's prior to the death
of Salomon Wolf Wilder in 1934.

I am seeking help to identify the two women on the left side of the photo,
to determine how they fit into my WILDER/HELFER family.

Please contact me privately at wildwoman@cfl.rr.com.
Any assistance you can offer is most appreciated.

ViewMate 11406 - tombstone translation #general

Mark

I have posted a photo (some kind person took for me) of my Grandfather's
(Max BARON) headstone on Viewmate
(http://data.jewishgen.org/viewmate) # VM11406.

I need the English translation of the Hebrew on the headstone.
Max's Hebrew name is Mordachi Lazer which I think is written on
the third line down. Especially need the rest of that line translated
to ascertain the original name or his father's name.

The direct link is as follows:
