"Hudes" (probably same as Hudesa), is a Yiddish version or
pronunciation for Yehudis, or in Modern Hebrew, Yehudit = Judith.

As has been pointed out, Hadassah was the "Hebrew" name for Queen Esther
(Esther is believed to have originated >from Astarte), but since then Esther by
itself is considered a Hebrew name in its own right.

Regarding "Hudesa" the name Hudes is a Yiddish diminutive for the Hebrew
name Yehudis / Yehudit (in English Judith).

I want to share a significant roadblock in my research about the GOTTLIEB family.

It is that of all my search result is up to now - zero. Nothing. Nothing like
this did not happen to me the other families in research. Perhaps any of you had
an idea not thought of.

I am looking for information about parents of Hinda-Basha SINGER - nee GOTTLIEB.
Father: Isaiah. Born sometime before 1872. He died around 1910. was a rabbi in
the town Zlotniki (Ternopol, Galicia). Probably also lived in town Stretin
(Rohatyn, Galicia). Died either in the town Stretin or Bukachevtsy (Rohatyn,
Galicia). The funeral was for sure in town Bukachevtsy.
Mother: Esther Malka (nee LAMGNER - not sure) (born sometime before 1875 - died
sometime after 1905).
Daughter: Hinda Basha. She was born about 1890. Her eldest son was born in 1905
in town Bukachevtsy. Killed in the Holocaust in 1942 in town Bukachevtsy.
This is what I know.

Beginning of the end - I got (for a donation of $ 100 to JRI) records of
Bukachevtsy. There is a marriage of 1900-1908. I could not find there the wedding
of Hinda Basha. I found the children's birth records of Hinda Basha - records
does not appear parents' names of Hinda-Basha or information about them. Write
Hinda Basha is >from the town of Stretin.

I looked for the birth of Hinda Basha in the town Stretin - JRI missing in most
of births between 1881-1898.

I looked for the birth / marriage certificates death or other of the family each
in the town Zlotniki - Mark Halperin says that all the documents of the town
Zlotniki did not survive.

I looked for the birth or marriage of Malka Esther Langner - at JRI and Gesher
in Galicia. I found nothing. I can not search for a specific archive - because I
have no idea about the town and the year.

I looked for the death of Malka Esther LANGNER - her death a hundred recent
years, so it is in USC in Warsaw book of any town (maybe Bukachevtsy?). In any
case, they do not agree to search that I have no specific Year of Death.

I looked for the birth or marriage of Isaiah GOTTLIEB - JRI and Gesher Galicia.
I found nothing. I can not search for a specific archive - because I have no
idea about the town and the year.

I looked for the death of Isaiah GOTTLIEB in the USC office in Warsaw (between

Schloma TEICHER descendants-Where are they? #general

I am looking for descendants of Sschola/Schlomo TEICHER
He was born on 1870 and died on 1932. Parents: Chune TEICHER and Gittel
(nee KRAMER) TEICHER.
Sschloma was born probably in Rudnik, Poland and died in Zalucze, Poland -
probably.

All this information is >from the JRI-Poland:
Kolomyya PSA AGAD Marriages 1911-13,32,34,35 Deaths 1906-14,32-35

Schloma is the brother of my husband's grandfather.

I tried to look in other sources to find his descendants with no success.
There are other Schloma/Schlomo TEICHER who might be him,
Without parents' names it is impossible to know.
This member is newly known to us. As there are **no** TEICHER's descendants
from this family - finding Schloma's descendants would be a precious gift!
