I've found my great great grandfather, Khaim Shmuel PRESAJZEN in the
database >from https://www.jewishgen.org/databases/Ukraine/KievDuma.htm

I was wondering if anyone has an electronic/physical copy of those 1906
Kiev Gubernia Vedomosti newspapers or is aware which archive is currently
keeping them.

Thank you.

Alexander,
Moscow

Query re: Polish citizenship #lodz #poland

oritarfa@...

Hello,

This is my first time writing to the forum, so I hope it works. Is
there no way to access the forum directly online?

My paternal grandparents were both Polish Holocaust survivors. Now I'm
interested in seeing if I could claim Polish citizenship. My
grandfather was born and grew up in Lodz. It seems I need to find his
birth certificate as a start. Anyone know how I could go about doing
this? A lawyer I consulted charges about $500 with no guarantees.

Looking forward to some advice on this process.

Sept. 12 1933 Decree #lithuania

Scott Familant <familant@...>

Is anyone familiar with an act/ decree that issued on Sept. 12, 1933,
which apparently recognized Jewish residents of Lithuania as Lithuanian
citizens?

Is there a place on the web where I can learn more about this?

Thx!

Szombathely records #hungary

Tomer Brunner

Dear friends,

My grandmother's family were living in Szombathely for many years,=20
from around 1870 to 1944.
Using the familysearch site, I managed to finds many BMD records, however, =
there are no Hebrew names in it.
Does anyone know if the records, which include Hebrew names, still exist?

My g-g-grandfather, Moshe MARTON, died around June 1926, and his tombstone=
still stands in the local cemetery.
Death records >from that time do exist (at familysearch.org) but I was not a=
ble to locate his record.
Any clue on how to locate it would be very much appreciated!

Many thanks,
Tomer Brunner, Israel
