from a private teacher. 13.7.1940, he leaves the school.
Surely, Jiri was made to leave his high school, because he was a Jew.
I have found his name in Teresin books. >from Teresin, he was transported
(22.9. 1942) to Maly Trostinec and he did not come back.

brothers and sisters of my g.- g.- grandfathers wife (Irma, nee
ANTSCHERL, married Rosenbaum) had lived in Wien:

- Selma A., she maried Stephan HEINER. Their children were Mimi, Liesl
and Hely (marr. HOLZER)
- Frieda A., she married Martin ROTH. Their children were Gretl and
Walter
- Lotte A., she married ? Placek. Their daughter was Nelly, married
FISCHER. As far as I know, she had a son - Georg - who lived in Wien.

Two other sisters of Irma lived in Brno:
- Ella A. , married Richard WEINBERGER. Their daughter Berti, marr.
FERTIG, probably survived the WWII. in Teresin. She had a brother -
Robert
. Their sister Hana married POKORNA.
- Klara A. married Leo ROSENBAUM, who was the brother of Hugo, my
gggrandfather (thus, two sisters married two brothers). I cannot find
any children of them.

If you know something about these relatives of mine, or if you know
some list of Wienna (Brno) Jews, etc., please contact me.

of her relatives have determined that he left >from Hamburg on the ship
Werkendam arrival New york around 1903. Last place of residence as possibly
"Panewas". He was age 7,mother's name Laura.

Apparently he married a non-Jewish woman and left all Judaism behind him. There
are family members who deny that he was Jewish. My friend would like to know more
about her grandfather who is deceased.

in this bride's record. I thanked everyone individually; but, in case
I missed anyone: thank you.

I received almost thirty responses, and this seems to be the general
conclusion:

The bride's given name is Hindy (probably Polish version of German
Hinde.)

The next words are "tochter des" = daughter of.

Followed by her father's name: Leb Ber SCHACHTER.

A problem arose with the third letter >from the end of his surname.
It looks for all the world like an "l". But as one correspondent
noticed, another entry containing the same letter would have to read
"Jenle", rather than Jente. So we conclude it is a partially formed
"t" and his name was SCHACHTER, my maiden name.

This record is contained in the Galician films recently made
available at the Family History Library. I find it especially
interesting because I have never seen this type of entry before in
Galician marriage records.

Have you ever heard of an Esther and Julius RAKUSIN.
They were married in London in 1949, but they have disappeared >from all records!
It is possible they made aliyah to the Promised Lane (ie Israel or America). It is
possible that Julius was born in 1905, meaning he was 44 when he wed and Esther
was much younger, but this is unlikely.
Any help would be appreciated.
