I have uploaded three vital records in Polish for translation. They are
all for my maternal grandfather's SZNAJDER branch who (so far)
originated in Opole Lubelskie, Poland moving to Ostrowiec and Chodel.
Many details about individuals are as yet unfound (for example, my 3x
great grandmother's maiden name and birth date), so I appreciate
as much information as possible. Some specific questions are posted with
each record.

Ship departing Marseilles at the outbreak of WW II #ukraine

Marilyn Levinson

Dear felllow researchers,
I recently learned that a relative in Colombia South America sent his mother a ticket to travel to that country.
She departed Nova Sulitza Romania in 1939 and boarded a ship in Marseilles. Two days out of port
World War II began, and the ship returned to port. My relative then traveled >from Marseilles
back to Nova Sulitza Romania and perished in the Holocaust. I was wondering if anyone else had heard
a similar story, or might help me identify the ship. Thank you.

Seeking translation of marriage document from Hebrew - ViewMate #general

Barbara Rice <barbararice7@...>

Hello - I am requesting help to translate the marriage document of my
great-grandparents in Manchester, England. The document is in Hebrew. It can be
seen at Viewmate: http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=VM64873

I hope the entire document can be translated as I would like to compare it to the
English certificate I have
(https://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=VM64874 ) and
JewishGen's translation because JewishGen includes a M. Rushnik as witness that
is not on the English document.

I believe M.Rushnik to be an uncle and want to know if this is on the marriage
document.

Thank you in advance for assistance.

Barbara Rice
