With the High Holidays just around the corner, this is an apt opportunity
to wish you, dear readers and families, a very sweet, healthy and
particularly happy New Year.

In the meantime, I would like to update you about quite a deal of progress
that was made in the Yizkor Book Project over the last month.

For one, we saw the complete translation of yet another Yizkor book go
online. This time for Dieveniskis, Lithuania which was energetically and
tirelessly coordinated by Adam Cherson and I do salute him for his
dedication in this project and the others he leads. The progress made in
all the translation projects we run is undoubtedly due to the dedication
and time that our volunteer coordinators place into them, and we do owe
them a great deal of thanks for this.

Another addition to the YB Project last month is a pamphlet called
"Leaving Rischard" which is a family drama originating in Brzeziny and
Lodz unraveled by Swedish Television. This pamphlet, written and kindly
donated to us by Mark Ejlenberg and he informed me that the movie will
be aired on September 25th on Swedish Television.

This month, an exciting new addition was added to our library of books
published by our Yizkor Books in Print Project: "An Eternal Light: Brody,
in Memoriam". If you would like to receive more details of where this or
any of the many other books that are now available, please see the link
at the end of this report. Please note that the books we have published
are either those that were completely translated within the YB Project
framework or were donated to us in their entirety. It is clear (at least
to me) that we are only able to publish complete books and those projects
that are still work in progress, will need to wait to we complete them.
So if there is a book you are interested in seeing on your bookshelf and
has yet to be fully translated, we would welcome your financial support
to help us fulfill the task of completing its translation and publishing
it. The JewishGen-erosity page has a list of projects that are need of
such support and there is a link to this list at the end of this report.

Finally and by-the-way, if one of your New Year resolutions is to become
involved in our project in any sort of way, I would be very pleased to
hear >from you.

Dear Group,

I hope you'll help me solve the brick wall which is bothering me since I
(and my late father before me) started to research my Hungarian roots.

For years I have been trying to find the connection between Moravia where my
GGGGF Peter REINITZ came >from to Hungary. in the Hranice Book of changes in
land holdings I found several pages describing changes in holding of a house
in Hranice of a Peter REINITZ which could possibly be "my" Peter.
Please translate as many details as possible about Peter and the trace of
this house (which he inherited >from his father Jakob WOLF) and especially if
there is any connection to Hungary. It mentions Bonyhad many times, why? did
Peter move to Bonyhad? and is there any mention where he died? (his home in
1811 was Nagykanizsa and he died between 1818-1821). >from another book I
have several names to which this house belonged. any help in solving this
brick wall would be very much appreciated.

With the High Holidays just around the corner, this is an apt opportunity
to wish you, dear readers and families, a very sweet, healthy and
particularly happy New Year.

In the meantime, I would like to update you about quite a deal of progress
that was made in the Yizkor Book Project over the last month.

For one, we saw the complete translation of yet another Yizkor book go
online. This time for Dieveniskis, Lithuania which was energetically and
tirelessly coordinated by Adam Cherson and I do salute him for his
dedication in this project and the others he leads. The progress made in
all the translation projects we run is undoubtedly due to the dedication
and time that our volunteer coordinators place into them, and we do owe
them a great deal of thanks for this.

Another addition to the YB Project last month is a pamphlet called
"Leaving Rischard" which is a family drama originating in Brzeziny and
Lodz unraveled by Swedish Television. This pamphlet, written and kindly
donated to us by Mark Ejlenberg and he informed me that the movie will
be aired on September 25th on Swedish Television.

This month, an exciting new addition was added to our library of books
published by our Yizkor Books in Print Project: "An Eternal Light: Brody,
in Memoriam". If you would like to receive more details of where this or
any of the many other books that are now available, please see the link
at the end of this report. Please note that the books we have published
are either those that were completely translated within the YB Project
framework or were donated to us in their entirety. It is clear (at least
to me) that we are only able to publish complete books and those projects
that are still work in progress, will need to wait to we complete them.
So if there is a book you are interested in seeing on your bookshelf and
has yet to be fully translated, we would welcome your financial support
to help us fulfill the task of completing its translation and publishing
it. The JewishGen-erosity page has a list of projects that are need of
such support and there is a link to this list at the end of this report.

Dear Group,

I hope you'll help me solve the brick wall which is bothering me since I
(and my late father before me) started to research my Hungarian roots.

For years I have been trying to find the connection between Moravia where my
GGGGF Peter REINITZ came >from to Hungary. in the Hranice Book of changes in
land holdings I found several pages describing changes in holding of a house
in Hranice of a Peter REINITZ which could possibly be "my" Peter.
Please translate as many details as possible about Peter and the trace of
this house (which he inherited >from his father Jakob WOLF) and especially if
there is any connection to Hungary. It mentions Bonyhad many times, why? did
Peter move to Bonyhad? and is there any mention where he died? (his home in
1811 was Nagykanizsa and he died between 1818-1821). >from another book I

Another addition to the YB Project last month is a pamphlet called
"Leaving Rischard" which is a family drama originating in Brzeziny and
Lodz unraveled by Swedish Television. This pamphlet, written and kindly
donated to us by Mark Ejlenberg and he informed me that the movie will
be aired on September 25th on Swedish Television.

This month, an exciting new addition was added to our library of books
published by our Yizkor Books in Print Project: "An Eternal Light: Brody,
in Memoriam". If you would like to receive more details of where this or
any of the many other books that are now available, please see the link
at the end of this report. Please note that the books we have published
are either those that were completely translated within the YB Project
framework or were donated to us in their entirety. It is clear (at least
to me) that we are only able to publish complete books and those projects
that are still work in progress, will need to wait to we complete them.
So if there is a book you are interested in seeing on your bookshelf and
has yet to be fully translated, we would welcome your financial support
to help us fulfill the task of completing its translation and publishing
it. The JewishGen-erosity page has a list of projects that are need of
such support and there is a link to this list at the end of this report.

Finally and by-the-way, if one of your New Year resolutions is to become
involved in our project in any sort of way, I would be very pleased to

Using Yad Vashem's pages of testimony:

1) In Chrome: Put the cursor on the thumbnail image,*right* click, and
ask for image to be opened in a new tab. It'll open in new tab. If go
to this tab and you place the cursor *on* this image and the cursor will
look like a + in a magnifying glass. *Left click*, and the image comes
out in a very good size and you can even download it using a right
click.
2) There's a link in the text about the person, which says "More
details" - a left click on that gives you further information, and
bigger view of the POT, including the options of printing it, seeing it
full screen and the like.
3) While you're at it, it is always worth clicking on the witness's name
as well - you will then see if they gave further testimonies about other
people.

I have posted a series of four vital records which are in either Polish or Czech. I would
greatly appreciate help in translating these records which are ultimately related to the
transport & incarceration of Klara Goldenthal Plohn (Plohnova on these forms) >from
Prague to Terezin & then on to Auschwitz, in 1942. It is quite recently that I tracked down
Klara's marriage (in Vienna, 1908) & found her married name, and then I found these
documents. She was born in Zolkiew, Poland in 1880; this was where her parents were
married. Her father, Abraham Hersch Goldenthal, was born in Brodi, Poland and died in
Berlin. Her mother, Bertha Beine Zipper, was born and died in Vienna. Klara's husband,
Robert Wolf Plohn, was born in Prague, in 1883. I do not know what happened to him.
Klara was the sister of my great uncle's wife, Rosalia Goldenthal Heilpern. My great uncle,
Abraham Heilpern, born in Brodi, Poland, 1875, died in Terezin, 1943.
