I can't read Hungarian either, but if you go further into the website,
it appears to be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the school, Baross
Gabor Kozgazdasagi Szakkozepiskola in Gyor. Not only are their lots of
names, back to 1897, but there are pictures of people, buildings and
places. If not significant, certainly interesting.

As a professional genealogist I have been searching for records for Kalusz in
the former Galicia, today Ukraine. I have hired three different European
researchers at great expense and little results. Recently I read that a rabbi
in Lviv, Ukraine had some of the records for Kalusz. Alex Dunai of the
Ukraine has been trying to obtain data for me (at a fee of course--a
reasonable fee)

You must be careful in this research to find the correct KALUSZ. There is
also a Kalush in Poland.

Robert, the website lists the names of graduates >from a high school >from the
year 1910, for every year up to the present. The name of the school is
"Baross"(gimnazium?) and can be located anywhere in Hungary(at least I could
not find the name of the town anywhere in the text). There are indeed quite a
number of Jewish sounding names, especially in the earlier years.

Mt. Richmond Cemetery, Staten Island #general

Patricia Adams

I am looking for information or someone to contact for Mt. Richmond
Cemetery, Clark Ave., Staten Island, NY. I have found a card indicating the
gravesite of a relative (hopefully) by the name of Rosenthal who died in
July, 1928.

A letter to that cemetery address was returned and the phone company advises
that there is no listing.

Is there someone out there that can help or knows about this cemetary. It
is listed on the Map of New York Area Jewish Cemeteries.

Thanks,
Patricia Adams

David Gershon Leventhal writes that he has not had a reply >from SSI about his
request for form.

I have sent two requests to SSI -- one in August and one a month ago and they
have cashed my checks but I still do not have the information. In the first
case I did my own letter in the second case I used the form letter with
adjustments but included the sentance about getting the information in 10
days. Neither seems to have worked. In one case I requested multiple forms
on one letter and the other I asked for one form.

How do some people report results in a matter of weeks with SSI and for me it
is taking months? Bad luck or ????????? Is there magic formula or do I write
again sending them copies of the check et al?
