I am not sure what you mean with the passports but if you need proof that they lived in Austria and had Austrian citizenship, a good start may be the archives of Vienna.

Does Chaim Dembitzer say that the Rema descends from Rashi?
And, I believe the Rema did have children. I am not sure what you mean when you say he only had collateral descendants.
