I have tried to deal with NJ before and have had many
stumbling blocks.

Icek and Ayzyk

While I am not a Polish expert, Icek would be pronounced Itzek and Ayzyk
would not have the tz sound. The 2 names are both derived >from the Hebrew
Isaac, of course, but I have seen references where

I don't know about naming *traditions* in case of a suicide, but I do know
that my father was named for his grandfather, my g-grandfather, who had
committed suicide 14 years earlier.
