Looking for information and family of Rae GLASSMAN #general

Eric Kronenthal

Hello all:

I am doing the genealogy of the paternal side of my family lineage and I
have hit a dead end. I hope that someone on the list may be able to
assist in finding her children or grandchildren.

I am looking for the family of Rae GLASSMAN. Rae was born Rachel
Kronenthal. She was born on April 1, 1896 in Manhattan, NY. She is the
daughter of Aaron and Fanny KRONENTHAL. She married Harry Glassman on
November 8, 1921 in Bronx, NY.

They had two daughters. Gloria Glassman was born about 1923 and Adele
Glassman was born about 1926.

The whole family lived on Valentine Ave. in the Bronx in 1930.

Rae Glassman died in December 1988 in the Bronx. I have the death
certificate number but I am not if there is any genealogical value to
that document. I am not even sure if I am allowed to obtain a copy of
such a recent death certificate. Any info on that would be helpful as
well.

I also have the marriage certificate number for Rae and Harry. Would
that have any genealogical value? What info is on old marriage
certificates?

If anyone has information on this Glassman family I would love to hear
from you.
Thank you,
Eric Kronenthal

Yiddish (& a bit of Russian) Translation Needed - Postcard Kiev to Ciechanowiec #general

Geners:

I received >from a cousin a postcard depicting his uncle, who lived in
Ciechanowiec. The family was named WRONA.

I have posted this on Viewmate, and it can be accessed through the
following link:

http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=14819

I am looking for a translation of the Yiddish on the reverse of the
postcard, and would like to clarify the little bit of Russian.

As I understand it, the Russian in part states that the postcard is
being sent to A. G. Wrona of Ciechanowiec (probable father to the
person pictured on the postcard).

Thank you in advance for your time and attention.
