Hi all;

Does anyone know how I can get in touch with the Beth Olom Cemetery office
in Brooklyn?

The phone number given by NYJGS (718-277-xxxx) is no longer valid and is now
the number of a very angry woman. I tried the three synagogues that jointly
own Beth Olom and two of them gave me the above phone number, indicating
they are unaware that their own cemetery's office number is no longer valid.
One of the synagogues has an impenetrable phone system that assures that you
will never reach an actual living, breathing person, and suggests you send
inquiries to their email address. I did so twice, over ten days, and have
never received a response.

I am trying to help one of our brethren >from Israel locate his GGF's grave,
but have been stymied.

MAHARSHA"L down through the author of the "Smichat Chachamim" Rabbi Naftali
KATZ.

Recorded (at least what I've found) descendants further down are recorded to
the father and son Rabbis of Kremenetz, Arieh Leib son of Shmuel.

Below them the only comparable tree I've seen was that of the PAPIRNE family
in Jerusalem, I believe who were Karlin Chasidim.

According to one of my greatuncles the original family name, at least as far
back as my ggggrandfather was ROSENBAUM.

Several genners with ancestors ROSENBAUM have contacted me in the past but
I've not been able to see any necessary connection. So my question is: Is
there anyone on this list who is connected to the PAPIRNE family and if so,
do they know of a ROSENBAUM family connection?

Here are details of 2 of my families' parents- my father's and my mother's -
both whose families were born in the Ukraine, what I want to know is more
about their parents, their parent's siblings, and the siblings' families.

1. My father's father was Alimelach HALPERN, born about 1840 probably in
Komenets Podolskii in Podolia, Ukraine and died on 29 Dec. 1907. He married
Tzippora (unknown FAMILY name) about 1873 and she died on 13 June 1914.
One of their children was my father Shmuel HALPERN, born about 1883 in
Komenets Podolskii, and he migrated via Ellis Island in December 1904 on
route to Montreal Canada.

What I want to know:-
1) who were Alimelach HALPERN's parents, their siblings, their families
and
their whereabouts.
2) who were Alimelach HALPERN's siblings, their families and their
whereabouts.
3) who were Shmuel's HALPERN's siblings, their families and their
whereabouts.

possibly in Zhvanets in Podolia, Ukraine and died about 1915. He married 3
times in Zhvanets:-
1) to Tzizeh (unknown FAMILY name) about 1847 who had 2 children with
him - a) Velvel GOLDSMAN, born about 1848 and b) Leah Malka (unknown
FAMILY name), born about 1851.
2) to Wife #2 (unknown Given and FAMILY names) about 1853, who had with
him 1 child - Aron GOLDSMAN, born about 1855.
3) to Wife #3 about 1877 - Rose GELLER(?) or LERNER(?) and she had with
him 4 children - Ester GOLDSMAN, born 1868, Morris GOLDSMAN, born 1880,
Dvora GOLDSMAN, born 1883 and Hyman GOLDSMAN, born 1886.

What I want to know:-
1) who were Gershon GOLDSMAN's parents, their families and their
whereabouts.
2) who were Gershon's GOLDSMAN siblings, their families and their
hereabouts.
3) what were Gershon GOLDSMAN's wife #2's Given and FAMILY names and
details.
4) was Gershon GOLDSMAN's wife #3's Family name GELLER or LERNER and
