Dear Fellow Genners:

If there is anyone who has visited Brody, Ukraine in recent years, I would
be interested in hearing about your experience and I am also interested in
knowing about the Jewish Cemeteries there. I am aware that through the
JewishGen, they have been working on a project of those cemeteries.

Thank you,

Alicia,

Most probably town Kraziai, Lithuania. "Other" known town names are: Kroz,
Kroze, Krozhe, Kruce, Kruz.

Another candidate is: Krucha, Belarus.

Thank you Eva Bourne of Austria for responding so quickly to my seach for the
Goliger resting place. Eva told me how to reach Central cemetery in Vienna and
all the tecniques to get to the right rows groups and areas , she had found out
where Leah Goliger was laid to rest in 1917 and will go to the cemetery to take
pictures. I would never have believed a woman >from Petlikowce,. Galicia

Re: Rabbi Jerome Rosen of Marshall, Michigan #general

Mimi Katz <GeveretKatz@...>

Does anyone recall the name of the above-named Rabbi, Jerome Rosen, and
when he actually worked in Marshall?
Marshall, Michigan is a small town. I'm not even sure if a synagogue exists
there anymore.

If, perhaps, he was a Reform rabbi, you might try contacting the Union of
Reform Judaism, formerly the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, at
http://www.uahc.org/. If he was >from a Conservative or Orthodox
congregation, you might contact the respective umbrella organization. Other
JewishGenners will certainly know the web addresses.

Joan, Lois,

There is a better way than using irfanview. All irfanview can do is
make things bigger, but the resolution (dots per inch) will decrease
when you do so. What you want to do is magnify and keep the same
resolution so you can see more detail.

You can do that by using the magnify option on my missing manifest
page. The simplest way to do this is to start with my ship-lists page,
enter Grecian and 1893, then click on the July sailing. That will get
you to my missing manifest page starting at the first frame for that
ship arrival. Specifically it will be frame 258. The manifest that
contains Aron Greif is on frame 259 so you simply have to advance one
frame. Then set magnify to 1.0 and click display. You will now see an
enlarged version of the page with excellent resolution.
