Jewish Genealogical Society of Tampa Bay Meeting
Sunday, September 12, 2004

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Tampa Bay will meet on
Sunday September 12th at 2:00 P.M. at Gulf Coast Jewish Family
Services, 14041 Icot Blvd.,Clearwater, Florida.

Gregg Hickman, owner of Lake Shore Camera Exchange, Inc in
Palm Harbor will make a presentation on the care and preservation
of old photos and documents. He will demonstrate how to take
old films and turn them into modern media.

The Jewish Genealogical Society's library and research
resources, including both printed materials and Internet access,
along with guided assistance and information exchange
from experienced researchers will be available to
participants at the meeting.

Anyone interested in learning how to do their own Jewish
genealogical research is invited to attend. Beginners as well
as experienced researchers are welcome.

I am looking for information about the shtetl of Tikhovolya, Belarus.
(Tsikhovolya or Cichavolja, Latitude: 52°51', Longitude: 24°00', about
40 miles ESE of Bialystok.) My maternal grandfather Schmuel EISENSMIDT

The LEIDERSDORF family is well represented in the
"Forgotten Fragments of the History of the Fraenkel Family"
For instance (VI O8) Bella LEIDERSDORF, daughter of Moses L.,
from Kopenhague, died 1771.
She married Nathan DUSSELDORF who died in 1803.
This family was a rich family of bankers.
He was the son of Moses DUSSELDORF and Hirtzle LEIDERSDORF
of Kopenhagen, daughter of Susskind (died 1770).
